Mathematical formulas for calculation of the interlocking force are deduced, and the shear capacity of the recycled concrete beams can be estimated. The data of five test beams and 20 test beams in open literature are in good agreement with the theoretical prediction, which proves that this method can be used to calculate the ultimate shear capacity for practical applications.
