A room-temperature ionic liquid blended with deionized water in four different mass fractions as 20%, 15%, 10%, and 5% to prepare an ionic liquid and water binary mixture at room temperature. Thermal stability and the thermophysical characteristics of EMIMBF4 such as thermal conductivity, specific heat capacity, viscosity, and density, were measured in the temperature range of 25°C to 90°C. The results reveal that the specific heat capacity increased by 13%, and thermal conductivity enhanced 9%, at 5 wt.% mass fraction. The overall mass drop is reached 75.1% at 20 wt.% mass fractions.
