Using paraffin-expanded graphite as the phase change material for energy storage, this paper studies the effect of expanded graphite on energy storage characteristics and finds that 10% expanded graphite can shorten the heat storage time and heat release time by 50% and 36.4%, respectively. Two economic operation modes are recommended for auxiliary district heating and synergetic coupling.
