The hourly heat collecting capacity, water temperature and contribution rate of solar collector system based on Zhengzhou city typical sunshine are calculated. The study reveals that the heat collecting capacity and water temperature increases initially and then decreases, and the solar col-lector system can provide from 40% to 78% heating load for a 200 m2 villa with in Zhengzhou city from November to March.
